Cicada Nymph Exoskeleton Pendant in Silver on a 22" Stainless Steel Ball Chain.
 
This pendant was molded from a Cicada's Molted Exoskeleton in 2021. My first real experiance with cicadas came that year, the same year our daughter was born and buying our first home, so it was an extreamly transformative time. It's worth noting that these were no ordinary cicadas, these were the "17 Year" cicadas. The sound they made outside our tiny cabin was deafening, it hummed like electricty, they were everywhere, the humming literly seemed to change your bodies chemisty. I am happy that I was able to memoraralize this moment in time.
